What to Expect

Making family dinner couldn't be more fun and delicious

  • Pre-register, at least 48 hours in advance, to attend a prep session to assemble either 6 or 10 family entrees. Registration can be done on line, by phone, or in store. Pick the entrees your family will enjoy the most.
  • On your session day, make sure you have room in your freezer.
  • Arrive at your session with a large cooler or laundry basket to transport your finished meals.
  • The Chop Shop supplies all the freezer containers (zip lock bags, foil pans or heavy duty foil wrap) for the entrees.
  • At the Chop Shop, grab a shelf for your cooler, pick out an apron and our staff will provide a brief orientation.
  • Pick a prep table and start. The easy to follow recipes are posted at each table. Just follow the instructions step by step but feel free to adjust the ingredients to suit your taste.
  • When you're done, put the finished entree in your cooler and move on to the next table.
  • At home, freeze your entrees immediately. When you are ready to prepare an entree, pull it out the day before to defrost in the refrigerator and then follow the simple cooking instructions on the label.

It is very important that we provide the cleanest, safest and most sanitary environment to prepare your family meals. We are fully licensed and adhere to all the food safety requirements. During orientation, we instruct all customers on the proper hygiene procedures during our session and safe food handling instructions at home. Please note--Due to state regulations, children under 12 are not permitted in the kitchen.
